As part of the Clinical Foundations course (MD010), third year medical students will participate in various simulation sessions that utilize full-body simulators and task trainers. Practical skills for clinical clerkships will be emphasized. Students will receive hands-on practice in airway management and mega codes.

Course Objectives

1. Develop technical skills for bag-valve-mask ventilation, intubation and use of alternate airway devices
2. Incorporate practical skills in the management of a patient in acute distress
3. Demonstrate application of basic and advanced life support algorithms
